Decanter World Wine Awards and International Wine Challenge award González Byass

with a total of 8 Gold medals for wines from Jerez, Bodegas Beronia and Finca Moncloa.

González Byass, Familia de Vinos, has achieved 8 Gold medals in the world renowned Decanter

and International Wine Challenge for a wide range of wines including Beronia Gran Reserva

2007, Finca Moncloa Tintilla de Rota 2011, Nectar, and our 30 year old sherry wines Del

Duque, Apostoles, Matusalem and Noe.

Finca Moncloa, a small winery in Arcos de la Frontera, has achieved success once again with its

emblematic wine Tintilla de Rota that for second year running obtained a Gold medal from

Decanter. This wine is produced from the native variety Tintilla de Rota and using the same

methods as used by González Byass in the 19th century, a traditional artisanal production that

had been forgotten in recent history.

González Byass Jerez once again showed the quality of its sherry wines with Nectar PX

winning a Gold medal in International Wine Challenge. A smooth and persistent Pedro Ximenez,

ideal for desserts. In addition the jewels of González Byass the VORS 30 year old sherries

achieved continuing success with Gold medals in Decanter for Del Duque and Matusalem and

Gold in International Wine Challenge for Apostoles, Del Duque and Noe.

The wines of Bodegas Beronia were also successful with a Gold medal in Decanter for Beronia

Gran Reserva 2007. Decanter boasts a jury made up of Masters of Wine and Master Sommeliers

and is one of the most renowned international competitions.
